Due to the current and evolving situation with Covid 19, the delivery methods of this course are subject to change. There may be times when the lessons will be held remotely, via live video calls, use of our Moodle area, private social media groups etc. By signing up to the course you are agreeing to this wide range of teaching and learning approaches; the lessons will be held in classrooms where this is usually the case, when it is safe to do so, and may be switched to online as the need arises.
Want to improve your maths skills whilst having fun in a friendly small group? Then this is the course for you. Maths courses are designed for learners who need to cover the basics in English and Maths. This will include those who have a mild to moderate learning disability and/or difficulty. They are also suitable for adults with mental health difficulties or those who feel they need extra support to learn. We provide additional support for learning and each class has a teaching assistant as well as the tutor.
The provision is designed to enable all learners to have access to learning that is individualised, challenging and meets learners’ needs. Learners will be given the opportunity to progress to higher levels if appropriate. Learners need to have a good level of understanding and be able to follow instructions. You will need to have an Initial Assessment before you join this class to make sure the course is suitable for you. This course is only for learners aged 19+ and is suitable for beginners or those who want to develop their Numeracy skills
We will organise and plan several local visits together where you can use your maths skills.
