Join us in our professional art studio at Rochester to explore Comic Illustration techniques through Line art, colouring, and lettering with Multiply

You will delve into the art of inking and line art, learning techniques to create clean and dynamic comics. Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, you will explore various inking tools, colouring techniques and lettering styles, applying them to inked comic pages or panels to refine your line art skills.

If you are aged 19 and over and do not have Maths at level 2 or equivalent, you can access free numeracy courses through Multiply to build your confidence with numbers and learn a new skill in our professional studios.

Open What will I learn on this course?

Learners will:

1. Measure out grids for at least one piece of work.
2. Measure lines of perspective in at least one piece of work.
3. Use angles to create perspective in a least one piece of work.

You will also learn to colour and letter your comic artwork, focusing on selecting colours, applying shading and highlights, and including dialogue to enhance storytelling clarity.

All materials will be supplied free of charge.
