Course Description
This course is for learners looking to attend a GCSE Maths course in the very near future. This course offers a gentle, friendly introduction into what GCSE Maths entails and to help build confidence.

If you are aged 19 and over and do not have Maths at level 2 or equivalent, you can access free numeracy courses through Multiply to build your confidence with numbers and learn a new skill in our professional studios.

Data and statistics

- How to break down questions to make understanding easier
- How to approach worded questions using a 5 -step process
- look at key words used in GCSE - understand their meaning
- How to clearly show your working out to gain maximum marks
Prosp Learn
You need to be 19 years and over and have no GCSE 4/C or equivalent qualifications in Maths.
Prosp Suitable
No additional costs. All materials will be provided.
Prosp Additional Costs
Your tutor can talk to you about other subject related courses and progression routes available, including principles of maths, FUNCTIONAL SKILLS MATHS and GCSE, all run through MAE.
Medway Adult Education works with many partners locally such as UCA and the University of Kent. Information about their courses can be found in our centres, cafe and Moodle.

In order to get the most out of your course, you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 90%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes. If you are unavoidably ill or unable to attend, please contact 01634 338400 so that we can let your tutor know and so they can send you any work you may have missed
