Join our professional tutor in our fully equipped dressmaking studio for a 2-day sewing course over 2 weeks.
Learn how to create your own made to measure pattern & jersey top with the overlockers. All whilst learning some basic maths to build up your confidence.

If you are aged 19 and over and do not have Maths level 2 or equivalent, you can access free courses through Multiply to build your confidence with numbers and learn a new skill in our professional studios.

All resources are provided and that includes the fabric!
You will the leave the course with your personally designed, made to measure top!

Prosp Description
Learners will:
• Leave the course with one individually designed top and made to measure pattern.
• Learn how to measure correctly and accurately.
• Use division to use and transfer those measurements correctly onto paper.
• Use addition to add the correct seam allowances where required.
• Design their own top, using subtraction or addition to allow for ‘use-ease’ and double-check their pattern using multiplication.
• Cut out their top from supplied fabrics, using addition to work out fabric needs.
• Sew the top using overlockers
Prosp Learn
No experience necessary. Your tutor will guide you step by step through the process of designing your top, cutting your pattern and then making the top. Overlocker instruction will be given where required. Prosp Suitable

Single session-
This is one session course- please attend for the duration of the lesson. If you enrol and then cannot attend, please inform us as soon as possible so that your place can be given to someone else.
Prosp Attendance
Students will be encouraged to have a browse on the internet for designs jersey tops. They may choose to apply those new ideas to their designs, or to try and make another in the future with those ideas. Prosp Ictskills
