The sessions are outside so please wear appropriate clothing. In the event of bad weather classes may be indoors on the site.
Please wear wellies if possible, or outdoor shoes you are happy to get dirty. Please bring your own gloves and any small hand gardening tools if you have them- e.g. trowel, fork and bucket.
The grounds of Fort Amherst are open to the public. For the duration of the classes, 10am-12pm, please ensure to stay in the areas we have designated for our activities.
Sessions may be shortened in the event of bad weather-in which case the tutor will advise learners of appropriate home study.
Once on site if driving, drive right up to the top of the hill, where parking is available. This is a good place to park, as it saves a steep walk up hill. There is also parking lower down, by the café- if you park there please go into the café to register your car. If you arrive on foot then just make your way up that hill- although it’s steep, it’s only a 5-10mins walk.
