Course Description
This Gardening Club is suitable for all abilities, for adults 19+.
We very much welcome those completely new to gardening as well as those to offer their own gardening experience to the group.
This is a very informal gardening course, where participants will learn as they go- to help improve the outdoor spaces at St Augustine’s-for the local community to enjoy, as well as learn how to grow in the spaces, no matter how limited, people have in and around their homes.

All participants will need to complete an enrolment prior to their first attendance.

• Basic Garden Planning: How to get started.
• Looking at all the factors that promote good growing conditions for your vegetables, fruit, and herbs.
• Learn how to prepare your own spaces for growing.
• Maintain and care for a community garden space.
• Working together.

The sessions are outside so please wear appropriate clothing.

Hand sanitiser
No open toed shoes

Please bring any small hand-gardening tools if you have them- e.g. .trowel, fork and bucket.

No. Teas and coffees are available in the church café for a small donation if you can. Prosp Additional Costs
On the day, your tutor, Emma, will speak to you about our upcoming gardening programme as well as some information about what other courses are available.
These include gardening courses at the Medway Adult Education’s allotment at Fort Amherst.
MAE run cookery, arts & crafts and music and much more including Crafts at St Augustine’s on Wednesday mornings.
