Due to the current and evolving situation with Covid 19, the delivery methods of this course are subject to change. There may be times when the lessons will be held remotely, via live video calls, use of our Moodle area, private social media groups etc. By signing up to the course you are agreeing to this wide range of teaching and learning approaches; the lessons will be held in classrooms where this is usually the case, when it is safe to do so, and may be switched to online as the need arises.

Purpose statement
This qualification is designed to equip learners to work as self-employed life
Coaches in independent practice.
Entry requirements CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Life Coaching Studies (LCS-L3) or the RPL (recognised prior learning) equivalent.
Additional qualification requirements
Personal coaching – a minimum of 6 hours face to face personal life coaching during the course. You will need to arrange this and pay for it.
Client work - A minimum of 30 hours of formally contracted life coaching work. You will need to find these clients
Supervision – you will need to find your own supervisor and pay for supervision sessions throughout the course
There will be an interview and assessment date to be attended. You need literacy skills (be able to follow written and verbal instructions, use alphabetical order) and numeracy skills (a working knowledge of maths) and be emotionally stable.
This qualification is only suitable for those who are currently in a stable emotional state
The course involves experiential elements that will involve some personal disclosure and associated personal developmental activities.
You will be working with clients and need to be physically and emotionally capable of this.

To complete the qualification, candidates must be assessed as Proficient in all 7 learning outcomes and must be assessed as Proficient in both internal and external assessment.
EXTERNAL ASSESSMENT
Candidates complete a structured case review (2500-3000 words) This is sent to CPCAB for assessment

Life Coaching courses include elements of self awareness, personal growth and development, this will involve self reflection and sharing of possibly uncomfortable situations undertaken within the confines of the classroom with boundaries and rules set by learners. You will also be expected to give feedback to peers both on written work and practical skills. Due to the nature of the course all students are required to sign a confidentiality agreement at induction.
A portfolio of work will be built up. Learners will be expected to produce a weekly journal, written assignments, self reviews, observe skills practice sessions, case presentations and complete one external assessment.
Learners will be expected to attend regularly and be prepared to carry out homework as requested by the tutor.

The Level 4 course in life coaching provides learners with the knowledge, skills and techniques to work as an independent life coach. On completion of the level 4 Diploma in Life Coaching you will be qualified to practise as a life coach. You are undertaking a course that leads to a nationally regulated qualification on the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) - the only Ofqual approved awarding body to specialise in the field of counselling and supervision

The LC-L4 qualification provides candidates with the knowledge, skills and techniques to work as an independent life coach. There is currently no further progression route beyond LC-L4 within CPCAB qualifications, but candidates can progress elsewhere to higher level qualifications in life coaching. Prosp After
In order to get the most out of your course you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 90%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes.
