Due to the current and evolving situation with Covid 19, the delivery methods of this course are subject to change. There may be times when the lessons will be held remotely, via live video calls, use of our Moodle area, private social media groups etc. By signing up to the course you are agreeing to this wide range of teaching and learning approaches; the lessons will be held in classrooms where this is usually the case, when it is safe to do so, and may be switched to online as the need arises.
This course is suitable if you can already communicate in a limited range of everyday situations, e.g. shopping, in a café, directions, booking a room etc. you may have learned the language at school some time ago and forgotten some of what you learned- this is a good place to pick your Spanish skills back up. Ideally you will have completed the Spanish level 1 course. If you are not a beginner but are unsure of which level course to enrol then ask to be contacted by the Programme Manager/ course tutor.
Prosp Description
Learners will be able to use the present tense to cope in a range of everyday situations, such as:
• Talk about your daily routine.
• Describe what you do in your free time.
• Talk about likes, dislikes and preferences.
• Make, accept and refuse invitations.
• Understand and improve your knowledge and use of grammar.

You will also have the opportunity to improve your pronunciation, revise grammar learnt in Level 1 and learn about cultural aspects of the life in speaking Spanish countries.
Those wishing to enrol on the Level 2 Module 2 course should first have completed the Level 2 Module 1. Learning outcomes for Module 2 will be discussed with you towards the end of Module 1, where you will be involved in the planning of future goals.

Use of information technology:
There are online resources on our Moodle site. Clips will be shown in class.
The tutor will speak to you about useful websites, aps etc.

Your initial assessment will take place during the first session and you and your tutor will record your entry knowledge and individual requirements on your individual learning plan. During the course you will have regular one-to-one discussions with your tutor to help acknowledge and record your progress and achievements.
It is always beneficial to spend time between sessions reviewing the topics covered. Your tutor may also set home-study to help you practice. Listening to or watching films, music, radio and TV programmes in the language would be helpful for vocabulary and accent.

Medway Adult Education has a range of language courses available in Italian, Spanish and French. Your tutor will discuss your progression with you on the course as you work towards both group and your own individual goals. Before the end of your course you will be given all the information as to what is recommended for you to progress onto e.g. the next level.

In order to get the most out of your course you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 90%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes.
